Our Story

From the shores of Vietnam to the banks of the Brisbane River, our journey has been as diverse as the organisations we partner with.

End-to-End Workplace Health

We were a single-clinic business under the direction of our founder, Dr Hanh Nguyen, a refugee of the Vietnam War.

Today, we’ve grown to 8 clinics and more than 200 staff, but our focus remains the same:

Clinical excellence, delivered under a progressive care model in partnership with employers.

This is our story.

Our Evolution From 2009 to Today

1945
Background
From Vietnam to Australia
A homeless refugee in streets of Europe

Hanh Nguyen, one of five siblings living in Ho Chi Minh City ( formerly known as Saigon) Vietnam, loses his parents during the Vietnam War.

At just 14 years old, he and his four brothers and sisters flee Vietnam by boat.

Their destination is Western Australia – an opportunity for safety that lies across more than 5,500 kilometres of ocean.

During the journey, their vessel is shipwrecked, but, eventually, Hanh and his siblings arrive in Perth.

They are five children, unable to speak English, totally alone in a new country.

His motivation is simple: give back to his new country by helping the people who need it most.

Over the next few years, Dr Hanh completes advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery, becoming a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons.

His next step: travel to the United States.

In the Midwest, he undertakes a fellowship in hand surgery and a tenure as Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department of Plastic Surgery

After spending 10 years training doctors in Australia’s public health sector, Dr Hanh identifies a gap in the workplace health sector, which gave him an idea.

Some workplace health providers are spotty in their service coverage, leaving their clients to fill the gaps with internal resources or additional outsourcing.

So Dr Hanh founds RediMed – an end-to-end workplace health provider that delivers everything from surgical treatments to medicolegal services, all under one roof.
